Coming up Monday, May 29th, is Ansonia’s annual Memorial Day Parade. Join the town of Ansonia on this Memorial Day as veterans, politicians, student musicians, firefighters, and classic cars parade from Nolan Field to Ansonia City Hall. The firetrucks will come from one of Ansonia’s five fire stations. So pack up a picnic and camp out along the route; it’s a great way to enjoy the warm weather and support the Ansonia’s veterans. Schools Out in Easton – The Adam’s Schoolhouse

While your kids might be thinking that last thing they want to do this time of year is go visit a school, but The Adam’s Schoolhouse on Westport Road in Easton might surprise them. One of eleven small single-room schoolhouses built in the area during the 19th century, many have since been torn down or expanded into residential homes. The Adam’s Schoolhouse still stands, but was actually relocated from its original location, the busy corner of Adams and Sport Hill Road. Today, the school house is home to the Easton Historical Society. They regularly hold special events, exhibits, and meetings at the schoolhouse.
