Connecticut’s Dinosaur Legacy at Greenwich’s Bruce Museum
200 million years ago, dinosaurs walked the Connecticut valley. At the start of the Jurassic era, the earth split along a seam that ran through the Connecticut valley which would create many fossils we have since unearthed. Many footprints found in the valley will be featured, as well as a number of fossils and models of a variety of prehistoric critters. Notably, the exhibit features a 12ft lifesize cast of the Postosuchus, a vicious relative of the modern crocodile that reigned over the late Triassic period (seen above). It may not be Jurassic Park, but at least the Brudge Museum is easy to get to (just a 5 min walk from the Greenwich train station).
