Thirty years ago on Black Rock Turnpike,  a deli opened by the name of ‘The Country Cow Deli’. The deli is well-known among locals for its breakfast sandwiches; one Fairfield resident describes his favorite breakfast sandwich there as “simply the best bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich I’ve ever had”. On weekends and weekdays in the early morning hours the wait for a sandwich can be 15 to 30 minutes, due to the high volume of business. Many regulars call in their orders ahead of time to avoid the long wait. The Country Cow Deli also offers fantastic grinders (they were even featured in Fairfield Magazine).
