There’s only a month left of a very neat exhibit currently running at the Darien historical society. Called “Darien 1925-1950: Golden Age of Art and Design”, the event covers the legacy and work of local artists from that era. One of the major attractions in the exhibit is the section on Darien’s “Guild of the Seven Arts”. The exhibit looks at how the development of Magazines, Victrolas, and radios created an artistic boom in the area, many of which headed to Darien! The guild was the second artist’s guild formed in New England, and it continues to impact Darien’s culture today.
