Established by the Monroe congregational church as a thrift store in the early 60’s, the building was named the “Mustard Seed Thrift Shop” in 1971. The building is a rustic old hall located directly next to the church. The building, known as “Beardsley Hall”, was actually built in 1887. Bought by the church at an auction 1935, the building also served as a schoolhouse for a large portion of its early history.
