Come see the traveling exhibition “Science and Motion: The Photographic Studies of Edward Muybridge, Harold Edgerton and Berenice Abbott” at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich! The event runs from July 16 thru October 16. Thanks to Bank of America’s Art in Our Communities program, you can see the interesting possibilities where art and science collide. The contributions of the three artist-scientists featured are numerous. Muybridge’s’ stop-motion photographs of a horse running allowed for early studies in animal locomotion. Abbott served as a photography editor for science illustrated. Edgerton had the amazing accomplishment of both teaching at MIT and having artwork featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
