Moving Sales Rep

Seamen’s Moving is seeking a confident salesperson to join our expanding Connecticut team. The candidate will be responsible for handling customers, building industry relationships, and booking jobs.

Summary:

  • A fast-paced office environment, fast advancement
  • Indoor sales with inquiring and current customers
  • Relations management with key industry contacts
  • Regular use of MS office and specialized software
  • Working closely with our office team

The following are not required, but would be valuable:

  • Associate’s Degree or greater level of education.

Moving Team Member

We are the leading moving company in the Tri-State area, and nationally recognized for providing 20 years of quality service. We are currently seeking professionals with moving experience, or a motivated individual willing to learn. The candidate will be primarily responsible for wrapping furniture and loading/unloading shipments. They will need the ability to lift heavy items. In addition, we expect the candidate to be a presentable individual with good social skills, manners, and teamwork skills. For potential candidates, we will follow up by phone for screening and interviews. This position will start part-time, but full-time and/or promotions are possible down the line.

Required experience:

  • Moving Industry: 2 years

Moving Team Driver

We are the leading moving company in the Tri-State area, and nationally recognized for providing 20 years of quality service. We are currently seeking drivers for our moving teams. In addition to driving box trucks, the candidate will be primarily responsible for wrapping furniture and loading/unloading shipments. They will need the ability to lift heavy items. Operations Manager

Seamen’s Moving, located in the CT area, is looking for an Operations Manager. Seamen’s Moving has a great reputation, and is expanding. We recently opened our new location in Bridgeport, CT. and need an Operations Manager. This is a huge opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, and looking to further advance their career.
Requirements:

  • Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of products.
  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties including shipping.·
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Develop the business and expand into new territories.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.·
  • Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
  • Monitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.
  • Manage the shipment process efficiently.

Qualifications:
· Must have management experience, but not limited to moving.
