Summer’s almost here! With the start of May, Memorial Day weekend is only a few short weeks away. For those who are planning to spend some time on beaches, Greenwich city is famous for its gorgeous beaches. Here are the top 3 on our list: Island Beach: Closest to Downtown Is situated about two miles south of the town’s coast in Long Island Sound. The beach also has a picnic pavilion (where the Ferris Wheel used to be, look for the footings), grills, a snack bar, dressing rooms, and restrooms (so no one’s obligated to go in the water). Tod’s Point: One of the Best Greenwich Beaches The beach is also known as Tod’s Point to locals. It is by far the best Greenwich beach. In this large park visitors can engage in sunbathing, swimming, jogging, walking, cycling, contemplating nature, boating, water sports, fishing, sailboarding, and picnicking on its long sandy beach.
